Vehicle Agent
The Vehicle Agent role in the VCM ERP mobile app involves assigning a vehicle and driver to a ride order that has been final-level approved. The agent can select a pre-existing vehicle and driver, or if necessary, choose an external travel agency to assign the vehicle and driver.
Steps for Assigning Vehicle and Driver in the VCM ERP APP
1. Access the Vehicle Booking Module
- Open VCM-ERP App.
- Go to the Vehicle Booking Module section.
2. Select the Ride Order
- In the Booking section, click on Add to begin the process of assigning a vehicle and driver to the ride order.
- Select the Booking and Ride Order for which you want to assign a vehicle and driver.
- All the ride order details will be displayed, including:
- Name of the user
- Mobile number
- Schedule details
- Address details
3. Assign the Vehicle and Driver
- Select Vehicle: Choose a vehicle from the list of vehicles already created in the system.
- Select Driver: Choose a driver from the list of drivers already created in the system.
4. External Travel Agency (Optional)
- If you wish to assign an external travel agency, check the box labeled External Travel Agency.
- Select the external agency from the system.
- Once the external agency is selected, the following fields will be automatically filled:
- Owner Name
- Agency Contact Details
- You will still need to manually fill in the following fields:
- Vehicle Number
- Driver Name
- Driver Mobile Number
5. Save the Data
- After verifying all the details, click Save to confirm the vehicle and driver assignment.
6. Correcting Details (If Necessary)
- If there are any incorrect details, such as selecting the wrong driver or vehicle, you cannot make corrections directly from the mobile app.
- To make corrections, log in through the browser interface of ERPNext and update the details there.
Additional Notes
- Make sure all required fields, such as vehicle number, driver name, and mobile number, are correctly filled.
- If you select an external travel agency, verify that the owner name and agency contact details are correct before saving the booking.
- Any corrections to assigned vehicles or drivers must be made via the browser interface, not the mobile app.
