Driver
The Driver role in the VCM ERP mobile app allows drivers to view the bookings in which they are assigned, communicate with users, update ride details, and change the status of the ride upon completion. Additionally, drivers can rate the user and provide feedback if the rating is below 3 stars.
Steps for Driver to Manage Ride Bookings in the VCM ERP APP
1. Access the Booking Tab in Rental Booking
- Open VCM-ERP App.
- Navigate to the Booking Tab in the Rental Booking section.
- Here, you can see all the bookings where you are assigned as the driver.
2. Contacting the User
From the booking details, you can contact the user in the following ways:
- Call: Dial the user's provided contact number.
- WhatsApp: Send a message via WhatsApp to the user.
You can also contact the Vehicle Department in case of emergencies:
- Emergency Call: Call the department’s emergency number provided in the app.
3. Upload Odometer Photos
- At the start of the ride, take a photo of the vehicle’s odometer and upload it in the app.
- Similarly, at the end of the ride, take a photo of the odometer again and upload it.
- Input the odometer readings:
- Start of Ride Odometer Value
- End of Ride Odometer Value
4. Change Ride Status to Completed
- Once the ride is finished, change the status of the ride to Completed.
- Click on Save Data to finalize the status update.
5. Rate the User
- After completing the ride, you can rate the user on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
- If you rate the user below 3 stars, the app will prompt you to provide a reason for the low rating. This feedback will help in improving the service.
Additional Notes
- Ensure that the odometer readings are accurately recorded at both the start and end of the ride to avoid discrepancies.
- If the ride status isn’t updated to Completed, it will remain in the Open state until updated.
- If any issues arise during the ride, contact the Vehicle Department using the provided emergency contact number.
